Sarah Foster
Author of memoir, “This Is Me Smiling,” which recounts growing up in a family where five people had HD, and then finding out I have it. It was written for people who love people with HD and for believers in the power of love. It is a (well-written, sometimes humorous, and frenetic without being frantic,) case study for professionals who only see HD patients for 45 minutes every six months. It delineates the context of this (seemingly inescapable) subculture of chaos, and reveals how I escaped.
